''Mian Khurshid Anwar'' was a politician of Vehari. He was born in India and migrated with his family to Pakistan. His father was a sobaydar in Kapoor Thala Lakhnow India. He was a member of the Pakistan Muslim League and was elected to the Punjab Seventh Assembly which sat between May 2, 1972 and January 13, 1977. He was re-elected for the Eighth Assembly (April 9, 1977 to July 5, 1977). He was also the Deputy opposition leader of Punjab Assembly.Now he is a member of punjab Assembly from Vehari pp-236 ''Mian Khurshid Anwar Group'' made by his sons ''Mian Saqib Khurshid'' and ''Mian Asif Khurshid'' is a part of electoral process in District Vehari. His sons are taking his mission of "Politics for Serving the humanity (Siyasaat baraeyy khedmat)". Many places of Vehari are named after him.
